Because Florence is on the main Rome-Milan Line, riders are offered a variety of daily options, including Intercity trains (IC), known for their express service. Santa Maria Novella, the city's main train station located in the north end of Florence, handles most of the rail traffic. Riffredi, a much smaller station, offers a limited number of rail choices.

Florence is not a usual city. It’s a genteel lady, the capital of Renaissance which is deservedly worth of recognition and appreciation and every visit is a wonderful experience. Let’s hope that newly originating industrial zones and housing estates won’t leave fringes of the city and the historical centre will remain well-preserved for other generations too.
